Gugulethu Sophie Mbatha, also popularly known as Gugu is a British stage actress and film actor. Her fame was boosted by appearing on the BBC's Doctor Who' British science fiction television series. The Chelsea Handler Show ran for two years. Handler was a part of Comedy Central's Hour Stand-Up Comedy Tour the following season throughout the United States. VH1, Comedy Central Premium Blend (and HBO) have broadcast her live stand-ups. In 2010, she was confirmed for the role of host at 2009 MTV Video Music Awards. She was the only female host in history in the same category as Roseanne.
